The Playhouse That Plays
Advisor: Mira Henry

This is the Playhouse that 'plays,' drawing inspiration from the Taiwanese Opera theater, which seamlessly integrates into any corner of the city. The Taiwanese Opera theater takes the city as its own immersive black box theater, which accommodates performances for audiences existing in the layers of the city. This playhouse serves as a creative space for actors and creators to express their artistry, where the architecture itself also is an expression of artistic endeavor.

The endeavor extends beyond the moments of performance, encompassing the entire process from the creation of the stage to the real-life roles played by the actors. Every aspect, from the formation of the stage to the daily lives of the actors, contributes to the construction of the 'play.'  As there is a constant state of 'play' happening within the structures erecting on the ground of the city of West Hollywood, this playhouse really played the playhouse and plays the playhouse.
